Today our main theme was optics. We learnt how our eyes worked and what lenses were. And that one could do a lot of cool tricks with them! Our favorite tricks were bursting balloons and disappearing colors, so much so, that most took the props home (well, except for the lens).
We then built a Fast Lane for Leo, which let him go through without a line if he had a ticket of a certain color, so we used the color sensor to enable that.
On the EQ side we moved from recognizing emotions of others to recognizing and naming our own emotions. It turned out to be a lot more difficult!
Today we tried to remember the last time when we were really worried and where in the body we felt it. It took us a bit of time to be able to do it but almost all of us managed in the end! Recognizing and naming own emotions is a big challenge for children and the first crucial step in being able to effectively manage them, so it's fantastic that our Masters, being so young, were already able to do it. Onwards and upwards!
